Mary Alice Thompkins Craft, 69, of Ridgeville, wife of William J. Craft., Jr., passed away Monday, October 17, 2011 at her home. The relatives and friends of Mrs. Mary Alice Craft, are invited to attend her graveside funeral service at 11:00 AM, Thursday, October 20, 2011 at Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Wednesday, October 19, 2011, at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Highway. Mary was born on August 24, 1942, a daughter of Theo Thompkins and Lena Winter. She was a devoted homemaker and co owner of Craft Garage with her husband of 52 years. Mary also enjoyed fishing with her sister, shopping and family gatherings on the Edisto River. She is survived by her husband William; her parents Theo Thompkins and Lena Winter; her grandchildren, Crystal L. Craft and Brian S. Craft; great grandchildren, Christopher W. Craft Ponder, Chloe M. Craft and Bentley Craft, as well as many nieces and Nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her sons, William J. Craft III and Brian Stephen Craft, and her brothers Jimmy and Billy Thompkins.
