Mary Ann DuTart Silver, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, March 10, 2021.
Mary Ann was born July 13, 1938, in Wando, SC, a daughter of Philip Pepper DuTart and Frances Johnson DuTart. She was a graduate of Moultrie High School and attended the St. Francis Xavier Hospital and Roper Hospital Schools of Radiologic Technology. Mary Ann was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Mount Pleasant and later a member of The Church of the Good Shepard. She was an active member of the Order of Daughters of the King, and a member of The Huguenot Society of South Carolina. She worked at St. Francis Hospital as a Patient Advocate for many years.
In addition to her parents, Mary Ann is predeceased by her brothers, Philip P. DuTart, Jr. and James A. DuTart; her sisters, Burness O. McCormack and Frances D. Condon.
Mary Ann is survived by her son, Alton Garrett Silver and his wife, Kristina of Charleston, SC; her sister, Georgette D. Livingston of Newberry, SC; as well as several nieces, nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
She will be buried at Christ Church Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant, SC.
