Marvin "Skipper" Doyle Monroe, Jr., 51, of Charleston, passed on April 23, 2009. He was born in Macon, GA, the son of Marvin D. Monroe, Sr and Arrahwannah Brown Monroe on May 18, 1957. Mr. Monroe was a graduate of Stratford Academy in Macon, Mercer University and Officers Candidate School in Quantico , VA for the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a Garden Designer for his own company, Skipper Monroe Landscaping. Mr. Monroe is survived by his parents of Franklin, NC; a sister, Vicki Monroe Spivey and her husband Oscar S. Spivey, Jr.; a niece, Frances Monroe Spivey; a nephew, Oscar S. "Kav" Spivey III and his grandmother, Frances Duff Brown of Ridgeway, SC. The relatives and friends of Marvin "Skipper" Monroe are invited to attend his Memorial Service at 10:00 AM, Friday, May 1, 2009 at the Courtyard in 53 B East Bay St., a reception will immediately follow the service at the residence of Mrs. Donald Deaton, 366 Sugarcane Way, Molasses Creek Subdivision in Mt.
