Mr. Marion H. Lesesne Jr., 80,widower of Norma Woodcock Lesesne, of the Isle of Palms, entered into eternal rest on January 6, 2016.The relatives and friends of Mr. Marion H. Lesesne, Jr., are invited to attend his Funeral Service at 11:00 AM Friday, January 8, 2016, at the First United Methodist Church, 12 21st Ave, Isle of Palms, SC 29451. The Interment will be at 2:00 PM at Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens.Marion was born in 1936 in Columbia, S.C. and graduated from Greenville High School, class of 1954. Marion attended Erskine College and graduated with a B.S. in history in 1958. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict, taught History and coached football at Macedonia High School. He went on to graduate from MUSC with a BS in Pharmacology in 1967 and was Chief of Manufacturing and a faculty member for 30 years until his retirement. Marion also retired from St. Francis Hospital pharmacy after 32 years of faithful service. Marion was an avid hunter and fisherman and he enjoyed spending his free time on the Eastatoe River Valley. He is survived by 3 children, Elise Lenore Bean (Tommy) of Saint Marys, Ga., Marion Hollingsworth Lesesne III, (Lori), of Columbia, S.C. and Sidney Kyle Lesesne (Marcie) of the Isle of Palms., 9 grandchildren: Thomas Murray Bean III (Christina), Amanda Christian Bean Morrow (Jim), Cameron Pratt Bean, Kaylann Maria Lesesne, Malori Kyndal Lesesne, and Hollingsworth McKee Lesesne, Haylie Elise Lesesne, Ellie Cecile Lesesne, and Keelie Elaine Lesesne, 6 Great grandchildren: Thomas M Bean IV, Clara Kennedy Bean, Autumn Marie Bean, Jackson Erik Morrow, Dean Thomas Morrow, and Nora Mae Morrow. He is also survived by a sister, Mary Ruth Aiken (Albert) of Summerville, and a brother Arthur Ervin Lesesne (Mary Wyche) of Atlanta.Memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 12 21st Ave, Isle of Palms, SC 29451.
