CHARLESTON- Marilyn Starch Kneisley, 85, of Charleston, S.C. died Saturday August 23, 2014. Marilyn was born in Youngstown, Ohio on October 27, 1928, the daughter of Ernest F. Starch and Nel Robinson Starch. Marilyn was the widow of Charles Luther Kneisley, III and they were married sixty-two years. She was a member of St. Philip's Church and The Charleston Artist Guild. Surviving are her son Charles M. Kneisley (Chris) of Columbia and daughters Mary K. Ables (Robert) of Charleston, Patricia K. Warren (George "Chip") of Albertville, AL, and Nancy Ellen Kneisley of Charleston; seven grandchildren: Rebecca, Charles, and Katharine Kneisley; Mark K. Ables (Lindsay) the parents of her great-grandchildren Elliot and Beckett, Lee J. Ables (Macarena); Jonathan Warren (Natalie) the parents of her great-grandchildren Sydney and Andrew; Kathleen W. O'Neal (Jonathan) the parents of her great-grandson Finn. She is also survived by her brother Stephen Starch of Wichita, KA and cousin Kathleen R. Pacetti of Asheville. Marilyn leaves a legacy of a life marked by faith, kindness and sacrificial love. She passed knowing that her children and grandchildren were secure in their faith in Jesus Christ. Besides her love for her husband "Charlie", she could be found working in her beautiful garden or in her studio painting. The relatives and friends of Marilyn S. Kneisley are invited to attend her Funeral Service at 11:30 AM, Friday, August 29, 2014 at St. Philip's Church. Prior to the service, the family will greet friends in the Parish Hall at 10:30 AM.
