Marie Reynolds Daniel

Marie Reynolds Daniel, 77, of Hanahan, SC entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, October 19, 2022.

The relatives and friends of Marie R. Daniel are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The Rite of Committal will follow at St. Lawrence Cemetery, 60 Huguenin Ave, Charleston.  The family will receive friends between 5:00 and 7:00 PM Monday evening at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Hwy, Charleston. The Rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM.

Marie was born October 31, 1944, in Charleston, SC, the oldest child of the late Beatrice Rose Bazar Reynolds and Thomas Henry Reynolds. She was a graduate of Bishop England High School and St. Francis Xavier Hospital School of Nursing. She was a devout Roman Catholic her entire life and active in the lay ministry of the church.

Marie was an exceptional wife and mother. She cared deeply for her family and friends. Her larger than life personality and beautiful heart will be missed by us all.

Marie was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Ben and a brother, Thomas Joseph Reynolds.  She is survived by her five children: Benjamin Louis Daniel II (Patti), Alycia Daniel Busche (John), Thomas Michael Daniel (Helen), Elizabeth Daniel McGrath, Bridgett Daniel Truesdell (Phil); 22 grandchildren: Mary Katherine, Taylor, Benjamin, Rebecca, Sophia, Jordan, Luke, Patrick, Danielle, John, James, Michael, EmmaGrace, Thomas, Gabriel, Alaina, Katherine (Thomas), Isabella, Ava, Bayley, Joseph, Jackson; two great-grandchildren, Riley and Rohan; two sisters, Barbara Runey and Tricia Lowe and one brother, Michael as well as several nieces and nephews.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to EWTN ( ewtn.com ), Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 888 King St, Charleston, SC 29403 or to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital ( stjude.org )
