Marie Maybelle (Droze) Haring

Charleston, SC - Marie Maybelle Droze Haring Mrs. Marie Maybelle Droze Haring, 83, of Charleston, entered into eternal rest on December 10, 2012. The widow of Robert Anthony Haring, she was a homemaker. Born in Charleston, SC on June 27, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Edwin Arthur and Marie Maybelle Kelly Droze. She graduated from Murray Vocational High School in Charleston. A devout Catholic, Mrs. Haring was a faithful and active member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, Folly Beach, for many years. She was also a frequent visitor to the Church of the Nativity on James Island, where she was loved by many of the parish family. Marie was an avid gardener who enjoyed the outdoors. A kind lady with a gentle spirit, she adored children, and also her beloved dachshunds. Mrs. Haring loved Angels, and was known for her vast Angel collection. She also enjoyed crafts, and worked on many craft projects for her previous church in Hartsville. Most of all, she loved her family, and especially enjoyed family get-togethers. Mrs. Haring is survived by her two brothers, Ernest Milton Droze and wife Sonya, and William Clarence Droze and wife Brenda, several nieces and nephews, and a loving friend, Lois Ulichnie. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings: Elizabeth Droze McGee, Edwin Arthur Droze III, George Melvin Droze, Joseph Michael Droze, and Magdeline Droze Aycock. The relatives and friends of Mrs. Marie Maybelle Droze Haring are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial at 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 12, 2012, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 56 Center Street, Folly Beach, SC. Final Interment will be private. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to the church in her honor.
