Marguerite Duc "Bootie" Sosebee Entered into eternal rest on Monday, August 24, 2009, Marguerite Teresa Duc Sosebee, widow of Roy Monroe Sosebee, Jr. of Charleston, SC. The relatives and friends of Marguerite D. "Bootie" Sosebee are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 o'clock, Thursday, August 27, 2009, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. The Rite of Committal will be at Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call between 6:00 and 8:00 PM on Wednesday evening at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home 1620 Savannah Hwy. A Vigil Service will begin at 6:30 PM. at the funeral home Bootie was born in Charleston on October 13, 1928, a daughter of Harry Alexander and Lillian T. McGuiness Duc. She attended Charleston schools and graduated from St. Andrew's High School. Bootie was a selfless person filled with humor, faith and courage. Selfless in her life with others, humorous in the way she lived her life teaching those she met with a sense of love for her and courageous in the way she fought to help her family accept what she already knew. Bootie is survived by her children, Christine S. Webb, C.B.S., Cindy S. Holliman and her husband, John, and Wendy A. Sosebee; five grandchildren, six great grandchildren and three sisters: Katherine D. Mitchell, Carmen L. Duc and Patricia D. Mikell. She was predeceased by a son, Roy M.
