Margie J. Dempsey

Margie J. Johns Dempsey, 63, of John's Island, the wife of Robert O. Dempsey, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, November 26, 2009. She was born in Olar, SC, the daughter of Henry Clarence Johns and Myrtle Horton Johns, on Friday, June 14, 1946. Mrs. Dempsey was a graduate of Denmark Olar High School and a Registered Nurse. She loved animals, gardening and was deeply loved by her neighbors. Mrs. Dempsey will be remembered as a devoted wife and mother to her husband, Bob Dempsey of John's Island; her son, Daulton C. Smith of Palmetto, FL and a step daughter, Kelly Dempsey of Houston, TX. She is also survived by three sisters and a brother; Ruth Johns of Monks Corner, Clarence Johns of Minnesota, Loretta Barnhill of Oklahoma and Lil McDowell of Summerville. The relatives and friends of Margie J. Dempsey are invited to attend her Memorial Service at 4:00 PM, Sunday, November 29, 2009 at the JAMES A. MCALISTER CHAPEL, 1620 savannah Hwy.
