Margaret Sue Fike

Margaret Sue Fike of Charleston, born on November 14, 1946, passed away on October 15, 2017. The relatives and friends of Margaret Sue Fike are invited to attend her Funeral Service at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at the Graveside, Magnolia Cemetery. She was born and raised in Charleston. Margaret Sue received her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Coker College and The Citadel, respectively. Her 41-year teaching career included positions at a Navajo reservation in New Mexico, a Cherokee reservation in North Carolina, and several Charleston County schools. Her years on the reservations led to a love of American Indian culture. She also loved music and animals, especially cats. She is pre-deceased by her parents, Lillian Sue Patterson and Frank E. Fike, and she is survived by three cousins: Patricia Lovelace of Columbia, Anna Fike of Brooklyn, New York, and Joe Fike of Charleston.
