Margaret Tena (Fougere) Adams, 90, widow of Jesse I. Adams, Jr., died September 8, 2011 at NHC Healthcare in Charleston, SC. The memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, September 12, 2011 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mrs. Adams was born April 6, 1921 in Nova Scotia, Canada, daughter of the late Alexander Fougere and Mary Evelyn (Poirier) Fougere. Margaret was predeceased by a sister, Kathleen Edna (Fougere) Henne and a brother Alexander Roy Fougere. Surviving are: two sons, Harry Joseph (Charlotte) Gibbons of Dallas, TX and Jesse I. (Vickie) Adams III of Charlotte, NC; four daughters, Mary Eloise (Bill) Bland of Summerville, SC, Elizabeth Louise (Ray) Heape of Charlotte, NC, Cynthia Ann (Rick) Rathbun of Denver, CO, and Maggie (Mike Miller' fiancée) Alexander of Charleston, SC, 19 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, a sister-in-law, Joan (Wood) Fougere, and numerous nieces and nephews.
