Entered into eternal rest on Saturday morning, March 5, 2011, Lucille Elizabeth Oldmixon Zwingmann, the widow of Edward George Zwingmann. The relatives and friends of Lucille O. Zwingmann are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM Tuesday, March 8, 2011, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. The Rite of Committal will be at Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Hwy. The Rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM. Lucille was born in Charleston, a daughter of William Adrian and Lucille Magdalene Dean Oldmixon on Monday, September 20, 1915. She was a graduate of St. Joseph's Catholic School, Our Lady of Mercy Academy and Bishop England High School. Lucille was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church, where she was a member of the Women's Guild, an officer of the Blessed Sacrament PTA and a founding member of Perpetual Adoration. Lucille was a clerk with the Social Security Administration and South Carolina Electric and Gas, prior to her marriage to Edward G. Zwingmann. She is survived by two daughters, Beth Zwingmann and Barbara Zwingmann Flaherty and her husband Paul; a son, John G. Zwingmann; eight grandchildren Bill H. Sloan (Julie), Dr. Paul A, Sloan, Paul A. Flaherty, Jr. (Michele), Anne-Marie Flaherty Shores (Dr. Nathan Shores), Mary E. Sloan, Karen A. Sloan Rivers (Brandon), Bridget M. Flaherty and Allen E. Flaherty; three great grandchildren, Lucy R. Flaherty, Joseph F. Shores and Andrew W. Sloan and a sister-in-law, Sr. Marcella Zwingmann.
