Lisle Albert Ulichnie

On February 13, 2015, Lisle Albert Ulichnie, Sr. left to be with his family and friends in heaven. The relatives and friends of Lisle and Lois Ulichnie are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at The Church of the Nativity, 1061 Folly Road on James Island. The family will receive friends at the church Monday between 6:00 & 8:00 PM, with the Rosary at 6:00 PM. The Rite of Committal will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Lisle Ulichnie was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on April 30, 1932. He was a son of the late Catherine and John Ulichnie. He was married to the love of his life Lois Marie Coghe in 1951. He was the patriarch of an adoring family and is survived by his loving wife of 64 years and seven children: Ruth Francis (Ricky), Leslie Boyer, Dianne Woodall, Lester Ulichnie (Terri), Karen Cellars (Mike), John Ulichnie (April), and Mary McElwee (Tim). He was affectionately known as "Pap" and is also survived by his 20 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his furry friend "Pixie". The Ulichnie family extends grateful appreciation for the excellent care by the nurses and doctors at Roper Hospital who made his final days comfortable. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to The Church of the Nativity, 1061 Folly Road Charleston, SC 29412 or a charity of your choice.
