Linda Ritter Mabry

Linda Ellen Ritter Mabry, 73, of Charleston, SC, wife of John A. Mabry, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, April 19, 2023.

A Liturgy of the Word will be celebrated 12:00 PM, Monday, April 24, 2023, at the James A. McAlister Chapel, 1620 Savannah Hwy, Charleston. The Rite of Committal will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 604 Ft. Johnson, Rd, Charleston. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Linda was born in Charleston, South Carolina, a daughter of Dorothy Ellen Smith and Julian Ritter. She attended Sacred Heart Elementary School and Bishop England High School. Linda was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who cared deeply for her family. She would do everything she could to ensure her family was happy and successful. Linda and John had a loving marriage of almost 49 years. In her spare time Linda loved to garden and decorate her back yard with bird feeders and colorful flowers. Her yard was always filled with colorful birds and flowers and she loved to sit on her porch and watch the birds sing and play. Linda loved to vacation in the mountains of North Carolina where she loved to relax, hike on trails and enjoy the natural beauty of the mountains. She also loved to attend family gatherings to celebrate holidays and special events with her family. Linda will truly be missed by all.

Linda is survived by her husband, John; her son, Brian Mabry (Emmaly); her granddaughter, Meredith Mabry; her brothers, Ealy Ritter, Stephen Ritter and Michael Ritter, as well as her sisters, Andy Ritter and Margaret Ritter.
