Charleston, SC Leroy T. Fox died peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on November 8, 2012. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland, a son of the late Leroy T. Fox, Sr. and Cecelia Krochesk Fox, on March 14, 1943. Upon the deaths of his parents, Roy was given a home in Charleston, SC, by his loving aunts, Ellie and Mamie Fox. Mr. Fox is survived by his wife of 30 years, Martha Welcker Fox; his children, Bonnie and Todd Munn, Scott and Tina Fox, and adopted children Ray and Judy Ellis; grandchildren, Bryson, Noah, Trey and Caelen Munn, Karlie Brown, Tyler Ziel, Ryan and Joel Ellis, and his favorite sidekick, Daisy. He was an active Boy Scout earning the rank of Eagle Scout. He attended Bishop England High School, but he was unable to complete his education due to financial responsibility. He was a member of the Army Reserve, and later was employed by the Charleston Naval Supply Center until its closing. He was a devoted member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, where he faithfully attended Perpetual Adoration weekly until declining health prevented his participation. While working at Blessed Sacrament School Extended Care program, Mr. Fox was affectionately known as "Mr. Roy". His physical disabilities never deterred him from his responsibility to the children of B.S.S. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy T. Fox, Jr. are invited to attend His Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 PM Tuesday, November 13, 2012, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. The Rite of Committal will be at Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday evening between 5:00 and 7:00 PM, with the Rosary recited at 6:00 PM, at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Hwy.
