Leah Marie (Hodil) Rudloff passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on May, 27, 2017 at the age of 76. Our loving mother and grandmother Leah is survived by her children; Michael Buhmeyer, Amy Robinson, and John Buhmeyer, of Charleston; six grandchildren, Michael, Christian, Amanda, Thomas, Olivia, and Emma; and two great grandchildren, Charlotte and Logan. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Herman (Jack) Rudloff of Charleston, and will be interred to rest at his side. Leah was born December 21, 1940 in Hamburg, NY to George and Marie Hodil. Leah graduated from SUNY Farmingdale in 1961 with a BS degree in Health Science/Dental Hygiene. She worked in the dental clinic of the Ralph A. Johnson VAMC Charleston and retired in 2003 after more than 25 years of dedicated service to our nation's veterans.A Memorial Service, in remembrance of Leah, will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, June 9, 2017 at the James A. McAlister Chapel, 1620 Savannah Hwy., with receiving of guests to follow. US Air Force Chaplain Major Aaron Meadows will officiate the service. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Leah's life.
