Laura Mcnair Wilson

October 25, 1953 — March 1, 2018

Entered into eternal rest on March 1, 2018, Laura Anne McNair Wilson, wife of Henry S. Wilson, of Charleston, SC. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Henry S. Wilson are invited to attend her Funeral Service at 10:30 AM Saturday, March 3, 2018, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends between 5:00 and 7:00 PM, this Friday evening, at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Hwy.

Laura was born in Salisbury, NC on October 25, 1953, a daughter of Louis B. and Laura Pansy Parsons McNair. She earned a degree from the University of North Carolina Charlotte in Biology and Medical Technology, and also from The College of Charleston in Accounting. Laura was a Certified Public Accountant for Wilson & Quirk, LLC, and a member of the AICPA, SC Association of CPA, Coastal Chapter of CPA and The Charleston Exchange Club Auxiliary.

Laura changed her profession to show support of her husband’s Public Accounting Business. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, and especially enjoyed spending time with her family. Laura loved to travel and was a great travel companion. She loved basketball at all levels and attended most of her husband’s games he coached at Blessed Sacrament, even after their daughter graduated. Laura especially enjoyed attending the State Catholic Tournament, following the University of North Carolina Tar Heels and enjoyed antiquing.

She is survived by her husband, Henry S. Wilson; her daughters: Emily Rhodes (Matt) and Sarah Bell (Jason); her grandchildren: Shyanne, Matthew, Catherine, Cassidy, Charlie and Hunter; her step grandchildren: Travis and Aubrey; her mother, Laura P. McNair; her sisters: Linda M. Misenheimer, Lynn M. Leisy (Bill) and a brother, David McNair.
