Katherine G. Theos- Charleston The relatives and friends of Katherine G. Theos are invited to attend her Funeral Service at 1:00 PM Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity, 30 Race Street. Burial will follow at Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM this Monday afternoon at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Highway. Mrs. Theos was born in Fernandina Beach, FL on April 2, 1933, a daughter of Paul and Harriet Gigis. She grew up in Charleston and graduated from Rivers High School and Palmer Business College. Mrs. Theos was the Administrative Assistant to the General Agent of Mass Mutual Insurance Co. of South Carolina for over twenty years. She was an active member of the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity and was also active in the choir. Mrs. Theos was a past President and an active member of the Saint Irene's Ladies Philoptochos Society. She was the widow of Nicholas J. Theos and is survived by her two sons, Jerry N. Theos (Karen) and Paul N. Theos; five granchildren, Margaret E. Theos, Katherine S. Theos, Pauline T. Theos, Nick J. Theos and Christopher P. Theos; three sisters, Lula G. Latto, Barbara G. Latto, and Theodora G. Grisette; one brother, George P. Gigis. Katherine was preceded in death by her sister, Mary G. Moskos. Memorial donations may be made to the Nicholas J. Theos Scholarship Fund, In Care of Bishop England High School, 363 Seven Farms Drive, Daniel Island, SC 29492.
