Katherine "Kitty" Pardee

Kitty Pardee passed away Friday, January 7, 2011. She was born in Charleston, South Carolina, on May 24, 1945, to the late L. Marion Schmonsees and Frances Edwards Schmonsees. Kitty was the Charter President of the James Island Opti-Mrs Club, Past President the St. Paul's Exchange Club Auxiliary, Past President of the Edgewater Park Garden Club, Past President and Past Treasurer of the Lowcountry Miata Club and a member of the Ridgerunners Miata Club of Western NC . She was a member of the St. Paul's Garden Club and former member and Past Treasurer of the St. Paul's Exchange Club. She taught Sunday school and was a circle leader at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, where she was a member. Kitty was the former bookkeeper for the J. S. Dismuke Co., Inc. and Orthopedic Associates of Charleston. She is survived by her husband, Harry E. Pardee, Sr., two sons Harry E. Pardee , Jr. (Gene) and his wife Gwen, and Troy D. Pardee, Sr. and his wife Denise, four Grandchildren, David, Hayley, Madison and Harrison, all of Charleston. Kitty is also survived by a sister, Judy Yielding of Meggett SC, and two step brothers, Lenny and Robert White. She was predeceased by a foster sister, Linda Anderson and step-father James L. White, Sr. There are also a large and loving host of many wonderful and cherished family and friends who she leaves behind. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Harry E. Pardee, Sr. are invited to attend her Funeral Service at 2:00 PM Monday, January 10, 2011, at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church's Family Life Center in Hollywood. Interment, St. Paul's Cemetery on Chapel Road. The family will receive friends Sunday between 4:00 and 7:00 PM at the James A.McAlister Funeral Home 1620 Savannah Hwy.
