Katherine R. Brennan, widow of Malcolm M. Brennan, Sr., PhD, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, April 1, 2015. The relatives and friends of Mrs. Katherine R. Brennan are invited to attend her Requiem Mass at 11:00 AM Monday, April 6, 2015, at Stella Maris Catholic Church on Sullivan's Island. The Rite of Committal will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery on James Island. The family will receive friends between 5:30 & 7:30 PM Sunday, April 5, 2015, at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Highway, Charleston, with the Rosary at 7:30 PM. Katherine was born on May 15, 1933 in Montgomery, Alabama the eldest child of William and Margaret Harris Robertson. After completing Savannah High School and St Joseph's Nursing school, Katherine pursued a career as a registered nurse. Later, she challenged herself with a successful real estate career in Charleston for 30 years. She enjoyed meeting new people and helping others. Katherine Brennan and her recently deceased husband of 59 years, Malcolm Sr., were active in preserving the traditional Latin Mass of the Catholic Church. Katherine is survived by her 4 children: Anne Silva and husband Robert of Richland, WA, Malcolm Brennan Jr. and wife Janet of Charleston, SC, Helen Carranza and husband Luis of Houston, TX, and Teresa Pratt and husband Michael of Euless, TX; 11 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren; and her siblings William Robertson Jr. and Margaret Weissman. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made to Stella Maris Catholic Church, P.O.
