Karen Ann Joseph

April 21, 1961 — October 24, 2009

Karen Ann Joseph, mother, daughter, sister entered into enternal life Saturday morning following complications from surgery. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Megan, her parents Dr. and Mrs. Carium Joseph; her sister, Kathy Macaron, her husband Elie and their daughter, Elise; her brother, Kevin and his daughter, Jennifer; her sister, Dr. Molly Joseph, her husband Scott Pressler and their children Hannah and Luke; her sister, Amy Collins, her husband Bryan and their children, Chase, Caroline and Courtney and her sister, Jenny Fraser and her husband Keith. Karen was a native of Charleston graduating from Bishop England High School and The College of Charleston with a B.A. in English. She received her Masters in Library Science from The University of South Carolina and enjoyed many years of public service in the Charleston County Library system. Karen went on to establish her own business, Blissful Living, as a professional organizer she was able to cultivate her good nature and organizational skills in the care of others. Karen was quick witted and loved to laugh. She was a prolific reader and a gifted writer. To those who knew and loved her, she danced to her own drummer, sang to her own tune and was truly one of a kind. She will be deeply missed by her daughter and her family, who will always remember the lesson she taught us that love is truly the "soul" purpose.The relatives and friends of Karen Ann Joseph are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM Tuesday, Octoner 27, 2009, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. The Rite of Committal will be at Holy Cross Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Blessed Sacrament Building Fund 5 St. Teresa Dr. Charleston, SC 20407 or to a charity of your choice.
