Kara Rose Calejo

On Sunday, October 2, 2022, Kara Calejo, loving daughter and sister, passed away at the age of 26.

Kara was born on May 24th, 1996 in Charleston, S.C. to Gino and Sally Calejo. She had a passion for music, poetry, astrology, her family and friends. Her selfless spirit knew no bounds, and her desire to change the world for the better never waned. She truly loved many, and her compassion for those who were lonely or hurting was inspirational. Kara loved to laugh, reveled in nonsense, and shared her humor, infectious smile and kind heart with everyone she met.

Kara is survived by her mother Sally, father Gino, sister Becky, brother Anthony, and many cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandfather. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 7, 2022 at James A. McAlister Funeral Home on Savannah Highway. The family will receive friends at 3:00 PM and the service will be held at 4:00 PM.
