Julian Mitchell Simons, Jr., 24, of Sullivan's Island, South Carolina passed away on January 11, 2012.Jules was born June 12, 1987 in Charleston, South Carolina and was the son of Deborah Martin and Julian M. Simons of Sullivan's Island, South Carolina.He is survived by his parents, his brother Robert D. Simons (Judith), nephews Thomas and Harrison of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and his Grandmother Wilma R. Martin of Pineville, SC. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.He was preceded in death by his Grandfather Thomas M. Martin and his Grandparents Caroline and Albert Simons, Jr.Jules was a graduate of Wando High School and Trident Technical College where he made the Dean's List for several semesters while obtaining his degree.Jules had interests in many activities. An evaluation of him from the captain of his boat in sailing camp, Sail Caribbean, when he was 16 is a befitting description: "Jules was an asset to his crew from day one. Jules was an excellent role model for his shipmates. His eagerness and helpful manner stretched into all aspects of the boat!
