Judy Boyer

Entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, March 10, 2010, Judy Gaskins Boyer, wife of Paul Glenn Boyer, of Charleston. Judy was born in Charleston, a daughter of James McNear Gaskins and the late Thelma Turner Gaskins on Monday, April 10, 1950. She was a graduate of James Island High School and the University of South Carolina, Class of 1970. Judy was a devoted librarian of 35 years spending most of her career at Harborview Elementary School on James Island. She cherished her students and enjoyed sharing her love of reading. Recently retired, she spent her time visiting her grandchildren and volunteering. She was devoted wife of almost 37 years and be greatly missed by her family Surviving are her husband, Paul G. Boyer, her father, James M. Gaskins and his wife, Anne, a son, Daniel P. Boyer and his wife, Heather, a daughter, Janie D. Boyer; two grandchildren, Katherine V. Boyer and Zara G. Boyer, a sister, Deloris A. Gaskins, a step sister, Georgeanne Ridgill and a step brother, Johnny Jones. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Saturday, March 13, 2010 at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Hwy. All other services will be Private.
