Judith K. Davis, of Hanahan, SC, widow of the late Tony J. Davis, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, December 20th, 2025.
Judy Davis - wife, mother, teacher, friend, and servant of God.
Judy was born November 23, 1939, in Florence, SC, a daughter of the late George Edward Kendall, and Minnie Magnolia H. Kendall, with an older brother Charles, and a younger sister Frances.
She graduated from Chicora High School in North Charleston, and graduated from the College of Charleston. She attained a Masters degree in education, and was Hanahan High's Teacher of the Year in the early 90's.
She married Tony J. Davis in 1961, and they had two sons, A. Charles "Chuck" Davis, and S. Todd Davis.
Judy was a high school teacher for much of her life, also taught some middle school and elementary school, became a college professor at CofC and at Trident Tech, played piano, sang faithfully in church choirs for many years, was a writer, and an artist. She loved and was gifted in color coordinating, interior design, and nurturing, arranging and growing flowers. She loved children, had a great love of animals, and of people. She most especially loved cats.
She was a servant of God, and was a wonderful outgoing example of the love of Christ.
The family wishes to express heartfelt, deep appreciation to each, and to the many who walked so closely with us in care and friendship and love over the last 10 years.
There will be an intimate, family graveside service, with a Celebration of Life service to follow in January. Please contact the family for information.
