Juanita Elizabeth King

Juanita Elizabeth Duc King, 104, of Charleston, SC, widow of Rutledge H. King, entered into eternal rest Thursday, March 23, 2023.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Thursday, March 30, 2023 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 5 St. Teresa Drive, Charleston. The Rite of Committal will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 604 Fort Johnson Road, Charleston. The family will receive friends between 9:30 and 10:30 AM at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Highway, Charleston.

Juanita was born February 13, 1919, to the late Minnie & Joseph Duc of Charleston, SC. She dedicated her life to her husband of 70 years and raising three sons. She was a devoted member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church for over 60 years.

She is survived by two sons, Richard L. King and wife Donna of Salem, SC and Tony (Rutledge) and wife Ginger of Charleston, SC; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Juanita was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rutledge H. King; son, Robert "Bobby" King and a brother.
