Jonathan Adams Steele, 58, of North Charleston,entered into eternal rest at his residence on Tuesday, December 8, 2015, surrounded by his family.The relatives and friends of Jonathan A. Steele are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM, Monday, December 14, 2015, at St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church. The Rite of Committal will follow at St. Lawrence Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening between 5:00 and 7:00 PM at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Hwy. Jon was born in Spartanburg, SC on November 14, 1957, the fourth son of Eli Springs and Laura Svendsen Steele. He attended Pine Street Elementary School and graduated from Spartanburg High School and the University of South Carolina. Jon was the owner and operator of Blades of Steele Lawn Care Co. serving both residential and commercial customers in Charleston. Jon had a great love of the outdoors and was a master angler. He shared that love with many family members and friends who are grateful for time spent with him on the water or in the woods. He is survived by his three brothers: E. Springs Steele and his wife, Marilyn; Virgil Svendsen Steele and his wife, Anne and Timothy McGregor Steele; two nieces Anna and Katie andtwo nephews, Jonathan and Matthew.
