Entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, August 12, 2009, John Lawson Wishchuk, widower of Lucille Kazmierski Wishchuk. The relatives and friends of John L. Wishchuk are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 AM Saturday, August 15, 2009, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. The Rite of Committal will be in St. Adalberts Cemetery, Milwaukee, WI . The family will receive friends following the Mass. Mr. Wishchuk was born in Ormrod, PA, a son of Nicholas and Eudocia Wowk Wishchuk on Monday, November 11, 1918. He was a graduate of South Whitehall High School,a member of St. Mary's Holy Name Society, St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus 3rd and 4th Degree, the Retired Officers Association, N.A.R.F. the Charleston Lowcountry Rose Society and Blessed Sacrament Cathoilc Church. He served in the United States Navy during WWII, Korea and Vietnam and retired as a Lieutenant junior grade after thirty years. Mr. Wishchuk was also employed at Avco Lycoming and the Charleston Naval Shipyard . Surviving are his nephew, James R. Wishchuk and his wife, Ellen, of Allentown, PA, Grand Nephews and Nieces and Great Grand Nephews and Nieces. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to St. Mary's Church, Restoration Fund, 89 Hasell St., Charleston, SC 29401.
