John Andrew Robinson

John Andrew “Andy” Robinson, 49, of Charleston entered into eternal rest on August 12, 2018. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM on Sunday afternoon, August 19, 2018, at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Highway. A Memorial Service will follow at 2:00 PM. Andy was born in Charleston on August 26, 1968. He attended Bishop England High School and served in the United States Army. During his service to our country, he proudly served in Operation Desert Storm. He was employed at Emma’s Snack Bar and at Transworld Electric Company. Andy loved water skiing, bowling, reading, and cooking. He was married to his dear, Rose Marie, who preceded him in death. Andy was also preceded in death by his stepfather, Natale John Caligiuri, Sr.; a half-brother, Nicholas Salvatore Caligiuri; a stepbrother, Billy Brummett; his paternal grandparents, John W. and Mary M. Robinson; his maternal grandfather, Charles J. Shroka; and two uncles, John W. Robinson, Jr. and H. Robert Ray, Jr.Andy is survived by his parents, T. Rowand Robinson (Margaret) and Laura Ann Caligiuri, all of Charleston, SC; a brother, T. Rowand Robinson II (Kristen) of Ft. Atkinson, WI; a sister, Emma Katherine Caligiuri of Johns Island; his maternal grandmother, Catherine Flaherty Shroka; three nieces, Kasten, Kylie, and Kenna Robinson of Ft. Atkinson, WI; two stepbrothers, Natale John Caligiuri, Jr. and Edward M. Brummett, Jr., both of Ladson, SC; two stepsisters, Dawn Marie Hancock of Ladson, SC and Connie Black (Michael) of Taylors, SC; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.Memorial donations may be made to the Charleston Animal Society, 2455 Remount Rd., North Charleston, SC 29406; the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team Super Cooper, 941 Houston Northcutt Blvd., Suite 203, Mt.
