----------------- Celebrating the remarkable life of John Q Passare Veteran, who was born on April 29, 1920, in Abilene, TX, and sadly left us on April 1, 2020, due to natural causes. John, a devoted husband to his wife Eve Smith, loving father to Sarah and Doug Smith, and cherished grandfather to eight grandchildren, will forever be remembered for his passion for fishing, hiking, and reading. With a Master's Degree and a successful career as a Professor, John's dedication to education and learning touched the lives of many. A proud Army veteran who achieved the rank of General, John served his country with honor, receiving prestigious awards such as the Bronze Star. Enlisting on May 12, 1955, and discharged on May 12, 1958, John's commitment to his country was unwavering. Join us in celebrating his life at the funeral service to be held at Eagles Nest Cemetery on November 25, 2024, at 10:00 am. Following the service, John will be cremated at 6550 Directors Parkway, Abilene, TX 79606, on April 3, 2020. John's memory will forever live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
