Entered into eternal rest on Saturday, October 24, 2009 Cmdr. John Francis Malloy, Sr., USNR (Ret), husband of Mary Ellen Reddy Malloy, of Charleston, SC The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. John F. Malloy, Sr. are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM Friday, October 30, 2009, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Rite of Committal will be Private. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1695 Wallenberg Blvd., Charleston, SC 29407. Jack was born in Brooklyn, NY on Wednesday, April 12, 1933. He was a graduate of Kings Point Merchant Marine Adademy and earned Masters Degrees at Adelphi University and Long Island University. He was a retired Commander in the United States Navy Reserve and a retired Program Manager with the Eaton Corp. AIL Division on Long Island, NY. Jack is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen Malloy, four children, John F.X. Malloy, Jr. and his wife, Beverly, of Colorado; James J. Malloy and his wife, Kay, of Massachusetts; Paul A. Malloy and his wife, Lisa, of Colorado and Michelle A. Shorte and her husband, Spencer, of France; three beloved grandsons, Peter and Brian Malloy of Massachusetts and Jacques M. Shorte of France.
