Entered into eternal rest on Sunday, February 28, 2010, John Thomas Jenkins, Jr., the widower of Patricia Dotterer Jenkins, The relatives and friends of Mr. John T. Jenkins, Jr., are invited to attend his funeral service at 3:00 pm Friday, March 5, 2010, at the Graveside, Magnolia Cemetery. The family will receive friends after the service at the residence, 1224 Village Creek Lane Apt. P2, Mt. Pleasant, Jack was born in Charleston, on Sunday, September 2, 1928, a son of the late John T. Jenkins, Sr., and Hess Waring Lebby Jenkins. He attended Episcopal High School in Alexandria, V.A. and the College of Charleston and graduated from Charleston High School and the University of South Carolina. Jack was a member of the South Carolina Society, the Carolina Yacht Club, the St. Andrews Society, the Society of Colonial Wars and The South Carolina Historical Society. He was a member of St. Philip's Episcopl Church and the French Hugenot Church. Jack was a former owner and partner of Holcombe - Jenkins Insurance and Real Estate Company. He is survived by his two daughters, Susan Jenkins Garmany and her husband, Bobby, of Mt. Pleasant, S.C. and Patricia Jenkins Barrett and her husband, Bill, of McLean,V.A., as well as five grandchildren: William Humphrey Barrett, Eliza Jenkins Barrett, John Thomas Jenkins Garmany, Robert Samuel Garmany III and William Lee Garmany.
