John Lee Carothers entered into eternal rest onThursday June 23, 2022.
He was born in Monroe, LA on December 13, 1933, the son of Homer Cicero and Solange Marie Castille Carothers. John was a lifelong naturalist and imparted his love of the outdoors to his children who followed him hunting, fishing, mushrooming, bird watching, star gazing and many other outdoor activities. Being an avid golfer allowed him to combine several interests at one time. He took classes at the College of Charleston in classical music and drawing. John was a fitness enthusiast, running and lifting weights for 30+ years, so it took several ailments to bring him down. He was there for his family from the beginning to the end.
