John Backman Boyer

John Backman Boyer, 82, of Johns Island, SC, passed away on Friday, October 18, 2013. John was born in Charleston on March 1,1931, a son of the late Julius Backman and Lillian Agnes Boyer. He attended school in the Charleston area, and became a father of nine and a business owner. John was owner and operator of Boyer's Sawmill, Boyer Construction, and Boyer and Sons Incorporated. He is survived by his eight children; Lillian B. Kirkman, John J. Boyer, Kathy B. Avant, Adam E. Boyer, T. Mark Boyer, Melody B. Salvo, Elbert B. Boyer and Charles L. Boyer; eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son, Matthew Bradley Boyer. The relatives and friends of Mr. John Backman Boyer are invited to attend his Funeral Service at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, October 23, 2013, at the Graveside, Carolina Memorial Gardens, 7113 Rivers Ave, North Charleston.
