Joann Helms Gould

JoAnn Mary Helms Gould, 73, of North Charleston, SC, wife of Robert R. "Dickie" Gould, entered into eternal rest on April 11, 2025.

A visitation will be held between 5:00 and 7:00 PM, Thursday, April 17, 2025, at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Highway, Charleston. A private inurnment will be held at a later date.

JoAnn was born December 8, 1951, in Hempstead, NY, a daughter of Josephine DePalma and John Warren Helms. She was a retired Paralegal with Charleston County Solicitor's Office .

JoAnn is survived by her husband of 27 years, Robert R. Gould; two sons, Joseph Mantilla of Ladson, SC and Jeffery Mantilla of Cocoa, FL; a stepson, Ryan Oros of Summerville, SC; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and her sister, Loretta Rodriguez of Long Island, NY.

She is predeceased by her parents and a sister, Nancy Cusack.
