Joan Marie Ohanian Day, 65, the wife of Donald Allan Day, entered into eternal rest on Monday, October 18, 2010. She was born in Miami, FL, the daughter of Osgar John Ohanian and Mary Kachigian Ohanian, on Friday, September 7, 1945. Mrs. Day and her husband raised their family in the rural southeastern Pennsylvania town of West Grove prior to their semi-retirement to Seabrook Island in 1995. Mrs. Day was a consultant and executive in the higher education technology field, starting her own firm, Ashton-Day IT Consultants. She was a pioneer in the field of technology, entering the computer arena in the 1970s. Mrs. Day is survived by her husband, Donald Allan Day, her son, Grenville Reed Day and his wife Ellaine Wassell Day; her daughter, Joan "Joni" Kristy Day, her granddaughter, Sophia Raquel Day, and her brother, O. John Ohanian, Jr. Mrs. Day was known to have built her life around her family. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and was particularly proud of her children and their accomplishments. Her son Grenville works as an Attorney and Credit Analyst for a Wall Street Broker/Dealer in New York, and her daughter Joni is a Television & Documentary Film Producer in Los Angeles. The relatives and friends of Joan Marie Day are invited to attend her Memorial Service at 1:00 PM, Saturday, October 23, 2010 at the James A. McAlister Chapel, 1620 Savannah Hwy. Charleston. No other public services are scheduled.
