Joan Marie Huffman Bloodgood of Charleston, age 82, died October 8, 2012, after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was a devoted mother and loving wife. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Richard "Rip" Bloodgood of Charleston and five children, Nancy Bloodgood (Bill Vuicich) of Charleston; Kerry Buckley (Steve) of Bow, N.H.; Craig Bloodgood (Nancy) of Duxbury, Ma.; Paul Bloodgood (Kelly Adams) of NYC; Carol Masters (Tom) of Austin, Tx. She will be missed by nine grandchildren, Peter Tecklenburg (Stephanie); Anna Tecklenburg (Josh Patton); Kyle Tecklenburg, all of Charleston; Kevin Buckley of Chevy Chase, Md.; Nichole Buckley of Bow, N.H.; Hayley Thompson (Kevin) of Buck, NJ; Melissa Bloodgood of Duxbury, Ma.; Able and Castle Bloodgood of NYC., a great grandson, and her sister-in-law, Alice Huffman of Murrells Inlet. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Monday, October 15, 2012, at Divine Redeemer Catholic Church in Hanahan.
