Jennifer Anne Morgan, 49, passed away on July 18, 2026 surrounded by the love of her family.
Born in Georgia and later making her home in Charleston, South Carolina, Jennifer lived a life rooted in love, kindness, and devotion to those around her. She had a passion for teaching children and found great joy in helping them learn and grow. She also loved running, embracing both the challenge and the peace it brought her.
Above all else, Jennifer treasured her family. She was a devoted wife and a loving mother whose greatest happiness came from spending time with those she loved. Her warmth, compassion, strength, and gentle spirit touched the lives of everyone who knew her, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
Jennifer is survived by her beloved husband, Jim Garrett; her sons, Jacob Morgan and Zachary Morgan; her mother, Patricia Sue Cashion; her father, Charles Richard Johnson, and his wife, Donna; and her sisters, Carrie Piatt and Sarah Johnson.
Jennifer's love, grace, and unwavering dedication to her family will never be forgotten. The light of her eyes were her two sons, Jacob and Zachary. She was so very proud of them. Jacob's focusing on his learning, and Zachary's love of design and art. She could not have asked for two better gifts from God. Though her time here was far too short, the love she shared and the lives she touched will remain a lasting legacy.
Jennifer loved working at CE Williams Middle School as an Instructional Coach. Jennifer formed deep friendships and positively impacted so many of her fellow teachers. Additionally, friends Ricka Porter, Nathan and Jen Lindley, Daphne Boothe and so many others shared life and laughter together. She was a graduate of Eckard College and earned a Masters in Education from University of South Florida.
A celebration of Jennifer's life will be held between 4:00 and 7:00 PM, Thursday, August 6, 2026, at the Harbour Club at Westedge, 22 Westedge Street, Suite 700, Charleston.
In lieu of flowers we ask that you support CE Williams Middle School, 3090 Sanders Road, Charleston, SC 29414, the purchase of various school supplies.
