Jeanne deSaussure Smith died peacefully in her sleep on Friday morning surrounded at home by her family.
A graveside service will be held at at 10:30 AM, Monday, July 24, 2023, at Magnolia Cemetery. The family will receive friends at her home on Sullivan’s Island this Sunday afternoon from 3:00 until 7:00 PM.
Memorials may be made to the Hallie Hill Animal Sanctuary ( halliehill.com ), the John Ancrum SPCA ( charlestonanimalsociety.org ) or Keeper of the Wild ( keeperofthewild.org ).
