October 30, 1933 — July 4, 2012

A life well lived Jeaneane Cochran Bishop Raymond peacefully entered into eternal rest on July 4th, 2012 from her home in Charleston, SC. She is survived by her loving and devoted spouse Harold R. Raymond, her grateful children Carolyn Bishop McLeod(Glenn) of Sumter, SC and Charles E. Bishop of Pompano Beach, Florida, her cherished grandchildren Brooke L. Bishop and Charles E. Bishop III(Trace) of Pompano Beach Florida, her step daughters, LaRandie Holley(Keith), LaJuana Cole(Mark), and LaRaine DuPuy(Carr) , her beloved cousin Marleen Alexander, her dedicated nieces Arleen Palmer(Curtis) and Donna Samuels(Phil) and many dearly loved nieces, nephews, step grand and great grandchildren. Besides her family, Jeaneane, leaves behind many loyal and loving friends. She delighted in her friends, the Catholic Church, the Tigers, and the Holy City. Born on October 30th, 1933 to Matilda and Samuel Cochran, Jeaneane received her early education from Cathedral Elementary and Bishop England High School. She completed her academic education with a RN degree from St. Francis School of nursing and practiced her profession in South Carolina, New Jersey, Idaho, and Hawaii. She completed her career at the VA Hospital in Charleston. Her compassion, organizational skills, and kindness have healed many a sick veteran and trained many a Doctor. Jeaneane is predeceased by her first husband, Charles E. Bishop and her beloved cousin Betty Palmer. Later in life, Jeaneane found her soulmate, Harold " Randy" Raymond. They enjoyed a full life of traveling, Elks and Rifle Club activities, neighborhood gatherings, Clemson Football games, visits to grandchildren and much, much more. Jeaneane Raymond had a life well lived. She resides now with our Lord, free from the bounds of Parkinson's, gently guiding all of us who are still on our earthly journey. The relatives and friends of Mrs. Jeaneane Raymond are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 PM, Saturday, July 7, 2012, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. The Rite of Committal will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, with a rosary being recited at 5:00, Friday at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Highway.
