Janette Kennedy

Janette Lynn Kennedy went to her heavenly home on July 30, 2015. She is survived by her two loving sisters, Pat Kennedy King and her husband Bill of Clover, SC, and Betsy Kennedy Fachet and husband Jerry of Fayetteville, NC; also nieces Lauren Gonzales of Del Mareno, California, Emily Pritchard of Charlotte, NC, and nephew Will King of Atlanta. She treasured her great nieces and nephews: Christopher, Matthew, Vanessa, Ryan Gonzales, Ella King and Jake and Ben Pritchard. Preceding her in death were her parents, Carl and Betty Kennedy of Fayetteville, NC. The relatives and friends of Janette L. Kennedy are invited to attend her Memorial Service at 2:00PM, Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at the James A. McAlister Chapel, 1620 Savannah Hwy. Rev. Daniel Smoak of Westminster Presbyterian Church will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Janette graduated from Reid Ross High School in Fayetteville and attended Fayetteville Technical College, excelling in business courses. After moving to Charleston, SC, Janette was a vivacious and respected administrative assistant at the Charleston Police Department and MUSC. With her loving and caring personality, Janette was devoted to her loyal companions: her dogs Missy, Smoky, and Harley. She doted on them and they were her 'children.' Always rooting for the underdog, Janette graciously helped those in need. A beautiful woman, her radiant smile would light up any room. Although she faced many obstacles in her life, she proved herself to be a strong and brave, independent lady. Janette was a long-time member of Trinity Baptist Church in Fayetteville, NC. Her strong faith and love of Jesus Christ sustained her all of her life. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends in spite of the fact that heaven has gained a special angel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Janette's memory to the Charleston Animal Society, 2455 Remount Rd., North Charleston, SC 29406.
