Entered into eternal rest on Thursday, October 1, 2009, Janet Claire Odell Redmond, wife of James Leonard Redmond of Seabrook Island, SC. Jan was born Rockville Centre, Long Island, NY a daughter of Elmer William and Virginia M. Schill Odell on Saturday, June 22, 1946. She was a elementary school teacher in Wheaton, IL and member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, where she was a member of the choir, a Cantor and Eucharist Minister. She was a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity, Mt. Zion Elementary School, The Church of Our Savior, the Girl Scouts, Mariner Ship, the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, James L. Redmond, a daughter, Margaret Kenny and her husband, Mark, three sons, James W. Redmond and his wife, Carolyn, Daniel Redmond and his wife, Christine and Michael Redmond and his wife, Kristin; seven grandchildren, Ella Kenney, Mya Kenny, Julia Kenny, Margaret Redmond, Piper Redmond, Madeline Redmond and Mathew Redmond. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. James L. Redmond are invited to attend her Memorial Mass at 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 3871 Betsy Kerrison Parkway, Johns Island. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday at 10:15 AM until time of service. Entombment will be in the Columbarium at Holy Spirit Church.
