Jane Louise King, 94, entered peacefully into eternal rest on November 7, 2017. The relatives and friends of Jane L. King are invited to attend her Funeral Service at 6:00 PM, Thursday, November 9, 2017, at the James A. McAlister Chapel, 1620 Savannah Hwy. Burial will be held later in Conneaut, OH. The family will receive friends between 5:00 and 6:00 PM, Thursday evening, at the funeral home. She is survived by her daughter, Amy (King) Boehm; her granddaughters, Megan Boehm and Allison Boehm; her brother, James M. Green (age 96) of Conneaut; a nephew, Larry Green; a niece, Linda Black, both of Michigan; and a great niece and great nephew. Jane was born January 3, 1923 in Conneaut, Ohio, the daughter of Elmer and Mary Green. She graduated from Conneaut High School (class of 1941) and Kent State University where she earned her degree in Education. She taught a generation of junior high school students Language Arts for 22 years, retiring from Rowe Junior High School in Conneaut and was a member of the First United Methodist Church there. Jane moved to Charleston, SC in 1995 to be near her family. She became an active member of John Wesley United Methodist Church where she was a chairman of her woman's circle. Jane enjoyed her family, friends, reading and traveling. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and friend. Jane's grandchildren were young when she relocated, and she was lovingly involved in the highlights of their lives, never missing a ballet recital, sporting event or a family celebration. She enjoyed living in the historical community of Charleston and visiting the nearby beaches.
