CHARLESTON - Entered into eternal rest on Thursday, November 19, 2009 James Rice Lawler widower of Mary Elizabeth O'Leary Lawler. He was born in Reading, MA a son of James H. Lawler and Elizabeth Riley Lawler on Thursday, February 12, 1920. Mr. Lawler honorably served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a a retired attorney with the Attorney General's Office of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Surviving are his sister, Carolyn L. Manning of Keene, NH, a niece Susan Lawler of South Weymouth, MA and a brother in law, William O'Leary of Charleston, SC. He was predeceased by a brother, Richard Lawler. The relatives and friends of James R. Lawler are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM Monday, November 23, 2009 at the Church of the Nativity, 1061 Folly Road.
