James Patrick Hartnett

Entered into eternal rest November 12, 2017. James P. Hartnett, 68, of James Island, SC , the son of the late Maude and Joseph E. Hartnett. He is survived by one son, Paul Allen of N. Charleston; one grandson, Nick Allen of James Island; two brothers: Thomas N. of Kansas City and Richard J. of Savannah; nephews and niece: Richard, Robert, Tommy, Ryan, Jaclyn, all of Charleston. Mr. Hartnett attended Blessed Sacrament School and graduated from Bishop England High School. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and was stationed on the USS Orion. He worked at the Charleston Naval Shipyard until his retirement. He was a member of Church of the Nativity. Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, January 26, 2016, at Holy Cross Cemetery on James Island, after which relatives and friends are welcome to gather at the American Legion Post 147, 968 Folly Road, James Island 29412.
