James D. Fabian, Sr.

James D. Fabian, Sr. of Charleston, SC, husband of Eleanor S. Fabian, entered into eternal rest on April 30, 2014. Jimmy was born in Columbia, SC on April 6, 1932, son of the late Lamar and Inez Fabian. Surviving are his wife Eleanor, daughter Susan T. Fabian; sons, James D. Fabian, Jr. (Bubba), Michael J. Fabian and Robert J. Fabian and his wife Joy; grandson, Robert J. Fabian, Jr. and granddaughters Tiffanie M. and Ashlynn J. Fabian. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law Joan Fabian and Louise Fabian, all of Charleston. He was predeceased by his two brothers, Willie and Charlie Fabian. Jimmy and Eleanor had just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. He was a member of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local Union No. 421. He was an avid fisherman, loved the outdoors and the beach, and enjoyed working in his garden. Jimmy cherished his grandchildren and family and will be greatly missed. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. James D. Fabian are invited to attend his visitation from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Friday, May 2, 2014, at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Highway. All other services are private.
