Jacque Duren Donoho, 69, of Charleston, SC, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 23, 2021.
Her Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, March 27, 2021, at the James A. McAlister Chapel, 1620 Savannah Hwy, Charleston. Burial will follow at Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends between 5:00 and 7:00 PM, Friday evening at the funeral home.
Jacque was born in Charleston on August 11,1951, to the late John and Emma Duren. She grew up on John's Island, graduated from St. John's High School and attended The College of Charleston. Jacque had an immense love for horses and was an avid equestrian. She also raised and competed horses for many years at Pineland Stables.
She had a strong faith in God and was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church where she was active in her United Methodist Women's Circle. She was well known for her beautiful crafts and amazing crochet skills. Before retiring, Jacque was a school bus driver for in Charleston County for nineteen years. She was widely known to her colleagues and students as "Wackie Jackie".
Jacque loved her family and is survived by her three daughters: Paula Brownlee of Hanahan, Betsy Roush of Summerville and Ginny Donoho of Charleston. She has five grandchildren: Olivia, Bryan, Grace, Haley and Daniel. She also leaves behind her precious cat, "Little Bit".
