CHARLESTON - Helen Lucas Weston entered into eternal rest at her residence on Sunday, January 24, 2010. The relatives and friends of Helen L. Weston are invited to attend her Funeral Servcice at 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 28, 2010, at the Graveside, Magnolia Cemetery. The family requests memorials be made to the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, 120 Broad St., Charleston, SC 29401. Helen was born in Charleston, a daughter of William Logan and Charlotte Hume Lucas Weston, on Thursday, August 18, 1927. Helen was a graduate of of Memminger High School and the College of Charleston, where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority. Helen previously worked for the Citadel, Ledgertons and the News and Courier. She lived a quiet life, was an avid reader and enjoyed listerning to opera. Helen was a member of the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist. Surviving are her sister Caroline W. Cohen and her husband Maurice, one nephew, William Cohen, three nieces, Rachel Pulling, Lottie Koster, Sarah Wood, as well as several grand nieces, grand nephews and cousins.
