Helen Bohac, aged 96, died on July 20, 2011, at her son's home in North Charleston. She was born on March 13, 1915, in Doch, Czechoslovakia. She immigrated to the United States in 1937. She was married to the late Paul Bohac of Czechoslovakia, for 43 years. Helen lived a wonderful life. She had a zest for life and a wonderful sense of humor. She could light up a room with her presence and infectious laugh. A natural Grandmother, small children loved her. She traveled all over the US, and made pilgrimages to Rome, the Holy Land, and Lourdes, France. Helen was devoted to her church and participated in daily Mass at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist. Helen is survived by her son, Dr. Paul Bohac, her daughter in-law, Dr. Janice Ryan-Bohac, and her grandson Eric Bohac, an honors student at Clemson University. She was preceded in death, by her grandson Nicholas Joseph Bohac. The family wishes to express sincere gratitude to Michelle Childs and Chrystal Benton for their excellent care, compassion and outstanding dedication. They also wish to thank the staff of Transitions Hospice, for their compassionate care of Ms. Helen in her last days.
