Heather Hardwicke Joye 45, f Mt. Pleasant, 45, beloved wife of Bill Joye and mother to Billy and Noah, passed away December 15, 2012 at Roper Hospital in Charleston, surrounded by family and friends. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at The James A. McAlister Funeral Home in West Ashley from 5:00-7:00 PM. A Memorial Service will follow at 7:00 PM in the chapel at the funeral home. Heather was born June 12, 1967 in Metairie, LA, the daughter of Wayne and Suzanne Hardwicke. She graduated from Middleton High School in 1985 and from Winthrop University with a degree in Accounting in 1989 where she was a member of Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority. She has been employed as an Audits Manager for MUSC for the past 19 years. Heather loved life, most especially while spending time with her family and friends at Walt Disney World. She always looked forward to her Bunko group that has met monthly for the past 18 years. In addition, she enjoyed boating the Charleston waters, traveling, attending Clemson football games, everything Disney, and any activities that involved her family. Heather is survived by her husband of 22 years Bill Joye, sons Billy and Noah, parents Wayne and Suzanne Hardwicke of Mt. Pleasant, her brother and sister-in-law Ted and Canan Hardwicke of Greenville and their children Merel and Bedri, her grandmother Dotty Hardwicke of Charleston, Aunt Penny & Uncle Jim Valek of Columbia and their children Lindsay, Parker, Jason. Aunt & Uncle Anne and Dick Pinckney of Independence, VA and their children and many cousins. Heather's life was too short and she was taken too quickly. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends who will continue to honor her roles as a mother and wife by supporting and caring for that of which she held most precious, Bill and her boys.
